Easy FAQs 2.0 is a Joomla site module for searchable, categorized accordion FAQs with a Modern 2026 theme, Schema.org markup, deep links, and full custom styling.

Highlights: Modern 2026 default theme (site brand accent), 11 classic theme presets, live theme CSS editor, search with highlights, category filters, expand/collapse, URL anchors, FAQPage JSON-LD, articles or custom slides, and Joomla 4/5/6 services architecture.

After purchase, download the package from your store account or the link in your order email.

Package file: mod_easy_faqs_2.0.zip (or the UNZIP wrapper that contains it).

Install

1. Go to System → Install → Extensions.
2. Upload mod_easy_faqs_2.0.zip and install.
3. Open Content → Site Modules, find Easy FAQs, publish it, assign a template position, and set menu assignment.

Requirements: Joomla 4.x, 5.x, or 6.x · PHP 8.1+ recommended.

Note: Joomla 3 is not supported.

• FAQ Status: Closed, Open First, or Open All on page load.
• Toggle: Enable to keep multiple FAQs open; disable for classic single-open accordion behaviour.
• Open/Close Icon Align: Place the chevron on the left or right.
• Show Expand/Collapse Controls: Adds Expand All and Collapse All buttons.
• Show Search Box: Live keyword filter with highlighted matches.
• Enable URL Anchors: Unique ids such as faq-{moduleId}-{n} for deep links; opening a FAQ updates the hash.
• Enable Category Filters: Pill filters built from slide categories or article categories.

Theme-based styling

Keep Use Custom Styling OFF and pick a theme. Default is Modern 2026 (soft cards, pill search, brand accent). Also included: Default, Modern Flat, Material, Minimal, Corporate, Rounded, Dark, Colorful, Classic, Gradient, Boxed.

Use the Theme CSS editor for live CSS tweaks of the selected theme.

Custom styling

Turn Custom Styling ON for full control:

• Title padding, margin, and typography
• Answer font size
• Open/closed colours and borders
• Category filter colours when categories are enabled

Custom fields use the modern flat Dimension, Border, and Typography editors.

Custom slides

Set Content Source to Slides. Each item has Question, Answer (HTML editor), and optional Category for filters.

Joomla articles

Set Content Source to Joomla Articles:

• Select one or more categories
• Order by published, created, modified, ordering, hits, or random
• Ascending or descending direction
• Show/hide images and choose intro or full image
• Trigger content plugin events when needed
• Limit the number of articles

• Module Class Suffix: Extra CSS classes on the module wrapper.
• Add Extra CSS: Inline CSS injected with the module assets.
• Enable FAQ Schema: Outputs FAQPage JSON-LD for eligible rich results.

Architecture: Joomla 4/5/6 services provider, Dispatcher, Helper, namespaced form fields, and WebAssetManager.

• Confirm the module is published, assigned to a real template position, and assigned to the menu item you are testing.
• After changing parameters, clear Joomla cache if site caching is enabled, then hard-refresh (Ctrl+F5).
• Category filters need a category value on each slide (or article categories when using articles).
• Deep links require URL Anchors ON; open a FAQ and share the hash from the address bar.
• If Theme CSS looks wrong, reset the theme CSS in the Theme Editor, or switch away from Custom Styling.
• Article images: check Show Images and Intro vs Full image options.
