Troubleshooting

  • Banner never appears

    • Confirm the module is published and assigned to the page. Clear the cookieconsent_status cookie in the browser, then reload.

  • Old look or broken script

    • Clear Joomla and browser cache. Confirm assets load as jx-cookieconsent.css?1.7.0 and jx-cookieconsent.js?1.7.0.

  • Opt-in / Opt-out buttons missing

    • Set Consent Type to Opt-in or Opt-out and save. Info mode only shows the dismiss button.

  • Policy link missing

    • Enable Show Policy Link and set a valid URL.

  • Banner covers content at the top

    • Use Banner top sticky carefully, or switch to Banner bottom / a floating corner.
