FAQ and Support

• Which Joomla versions are supported?

  • Joomla 4, 5, and 6. PHP 8.1 or later is recommended.

• What file do I install?

  • Unzip EasyArticlesGrid_UNZIP.zip, then install mod_easy_articles_grid_1.2.5.zip from System > Install > Extensions.

• Does it create its own content type?

  • No. It uses standard Joomla articles and categories.

• How is this different from Smart Content Filter?

  • Easy Articles Grid is layout-first. Smart Content Filter is filter-first for richer Ajax catalogues. Many sites use both.

• Can I hide the link routing notice?

  • Yes. On the Content tab set Show link routing notice to No.

• Why do card intros show {loadmoduleid ...}?

  • Leave Strip Content Plugin Syntax on under Card > Intro (default in 1.2.5). Plugins are never executed on cards; stripping only hides the raw codes.

• Does Safe HTML break tags when the intro is cut short?

  • No. From 1.2.5, Safe HTML uses tag-aware truncation and rebalances markup so cards stay intact.

• What is the News layout for?

  • A featured homepage desk for about 3 to 8 top stories, with Styles 1 to 5 and count-adaptive compositions. It is not meant as a general many-article archive.

• Can I place several modules on one page?

  • Yes. Each instance is independent, including Ajax and URL state keys.

• Does it need jQuery?

  • No. Easy Articles Grid uses native JavaScript.

• Where can I get help?

  • Visit support.joomlax.com. Include your Joomla version, PHP version, page URL, and a short description of what you expected versus what you saw.
