Introduction

Coda Slider is a Joomla module that provides a versatile and customizable slider for displaying content on your Joomla website. This documentation covers the installation, configuration, and usage of the Coda Slider module.

Installation

Downloading the Extension

Email: After you purchase the extension from our store, you will receive an email containing a link to download the extension.

Store: Alternatively, you can download the extension from the "Downloads" section in our store. If you are a new user, you need to create an account using the same email address you used for the purchase.

Unzipping the Package

Use any file unzipper tool or WinRAR to unzip the CodaSlider_UNZIP.zip package. After unzipping, you will find the following contents:

• Folder Joomla 3: This extension is compatible with Joomla 3.x version. In this folder, you will find the installation file named mod_codaslider_X.x.zip.
• Folder Joomla 4 & 5: The extension is also designed for seamless integration with Joomla 4 & Joomla 5.x. This folder contains the installation file named mod_codaslider_X.x.zip.
• ReadMe.txt: Contains vital information about the current version of the extension.

Installing the Extension

To install the extension, log in to the backend of your Joomla website.

• For Joomla 3: Navigate to Extensions > Extension Manager, then click on the "Upload Package File" tab. Click "Browse" to select the appropriate installation file, then click "Upload and Install."
• For Joomla 4: Go to System > Install > Extensions. You can either drag and drop or browse for the file to install.
• For Joomla 5: The installation process is the same as for Joomla 4.

A success message will be displayed once the installation is complete.

Configuration

After installation, the module needs to be configured to suit your requirements. Access the module settings by navigating to Extensions > Modules, and find Coda Slider in the list.

Content Settings

• Content Source: Select the source of content (Joomla Articles or Slides).
  • Joomla Articles:
    • Categories: Choose categories to fetch articles from.
    • Order Results: Order articles by Published Date, Created Date, Modified Date, Ordering, Hits, or Random.
    • Order Direction: Choose Ascending or Descending.
    • Count: Specify the number of articles to display.
    • Trigger Plugin Events: Option to trigger additional plugin events for displaying custom fields or voting information.
  • Slides:
    • Slides: Add slides manually by clicking the "Add" button.

Styling Settings

• Navigation Background Color: Select the background color for navigation (default is #F2F2F2).
• Navigation Text Color: Set the text color for navigation (default is #000000).
• Navigation Background Hover Color: Choose the hover background color for navigation (default is #ffffff).
• Navigation Text Hover Color: Set the hover text color for navigation (default is #000000).
• Navigation Padding: Define the padding around navigation elements.
• Navigation Typography: Customize the typography for navigation text, including font size, weight, transform, style, decoration, line height, and letter spacing.
• Content Background Color: Select the background color for the content (default is #F2F2F2).
• Content Text Color: Set the text color for the content (default is #000000).
• Content Border Width: Define the border width around the content.

Advanced Settings

• Additional CSS: Add custom CSS for further styling customization.

Usage

Once configured, assign the module to a position on your Joomla template and publish it. The Coda Slider will display the content based on your settings, whether from Joomla articles or manually added slides.

• How do I add slides manually?

  • Set the Content Source to Slides and use the "Add" button to add new slides.

• Can I display content from multiple categories?

  • Yes, you can select multiple categories when Content Source is set to Joomla Articles.

• Is it possible to order articles randomly?

  • Yes, set the Order Results option to Random.

How to get the license key for the extension?

• Go to the Download Section of our store.
• If you already have an account then login or else you create an account if you are new to our store..
• Create an account using the same email address which you have used while purchasing the extension. (This isn't your Paypal email address but the address which you have provided in our store while purchasing)
• Once you login to the Download section you can find the License Key for the extension.
