Introduction

Easy Favicon 1.0 turns one master image into a complete favicon pack for Joomla. It injects the correct tags on the site and in the administrator, strips competing template icons, and supports dark mode, maskable Android icons, theme color, and a minimal manifest option.

What you can do

• Upload one site master and generate every common size
• Set a separate administrator favicon or reuse the site pack
• Add a dark mode master, Apple Touch, Android, and maskable icons
• Strip Helix and other template favicon tags
• Set theme-color meta and choose Off, Generate, or Defer for the manifest
• Preview, validate, regenerate, and download a ZIP of generated icons

Built for modern Joomla

• Joomla 4, 5, and 6
• PHP 8.1 or later with GD or Imagick
• No jQuery and no CDN
• Self-hosted icons under images/easyfavicon
