Form still shows username or confirm password

• Confirm the plugin is enabled. Confirm the matching switch is Yes. Clear Joomla cache. Hard-refresh the browser.

Registration fails with an empty username

• Enable Remove Username so the plugin fills username from email. Make sure the visitor entered a valid email address.

Users cannot log in after signup

• They must use the email address as the username when Remove Username is on. If activation is required, unblock or activate the account first.

Remove Email Confirmation seems to do nothing

• Stock Joomla 5 and 6 forms no longer include email2. The switch only matters when email2 is still present.

Name looks odd after Remove Name

• The name is derived from the email local-part. For branded display names, leave Remove Name off and keep the Name field visible.

Upgrade from 1.1

• Parameter names are unchanged. After install, clear cache. The old jQuery asset is no longer used.
