Which Joomla versions does Easy Author Box support?
Easy Author Box 1.1 supports Joomla 4, 5, and 6 with a service provider, namespaced helper, Web Asset Manager assets, and PHP 8.1 or later recommended.
How does it know who the author is?
It uses the article Created by user. Add an Authors tab profile for that user to supply photo, role, bio, and social links.
What is Person JSON-LD?
Optional schema.org Person markup with name, job title, image, email, website, and sameAs social URLs. Leave it off unless you want structured author data. Schema is emitted outside the article HTML so mail-cloaking plugins cannot break it.
Which layouts and themes are available?
Layouts: Card, Horizontal, Compact, Minimal, and Stacked. Themes: Classic, Soft, Bold, Minimal, and Glass.
Can I place the box with a shortcode?
Yes. Use {easy_author_box} or {author_box}. Attributes can override layout, theme, title, more-from-author options, and more for that article.
What if there is no Author profile?
When Require Profile is No, the box still shows the Joomla user name. Enable Gravatar Fallback for an avatar from email, or upload a photo on the Authors tab.
Does it require jQuery?
No. Version 1.1 uses CSS and Font Awesome through the Joomla Web Asset Manager.
Is Extra CSS safe?
Unsafe patterns such as script tags, expression(), javascript: URLs, and @import are stripped before output.
What file do I download from the store?
Download EasyAuthorBox_UNZIP.zip. Unzip it, then install plg_content_easy_author_box_1.1.0.zip from System > Install > Extensions.
Where can I get support?
Visit support.joomlax.com. Include Joomla and PHP versions, page URL, and plugin settings.
Can I customise the more from this author list?
Yes. Set a View all URL on each Authors profile for that person. The plugin Default View all URL is the fallback. Optionally use the profile Website. You can exclude articles or categories from the list, or limit it to tags. Layout, count, and columns stay on the More from author tab. Shortcode attributes can override options per article.
