Video backgrounds

Set Background to Video file, YouTube or Vimeo, then fill in the matching URL field and a Poster image.

The video does not load, and the poster is shown instead, when:

• the screen is 767 px wide or narrower (phones), or
• the visitor has Save-Data on (the browser setting or a Save-Data: on request header), or
• the visitor's system asks for reduced motion.

If there's no poster, the background image is used. If there's no background image, the background color is used.

YouTube loads from youtube-nocookie.com, and Vimeo loads with "do not track" turned on. Both services still receive the visitor's IP address, so mention them in your privacy policy if you use them.
