FAQ highlights

  • Does it sell tickets?

    • No. Use the external URL for organiser ticket pages.

  • UNZIP vs pkg?

    • Unzip EasyEventsCalendar_UNZIP.zip, then install pkg_easyeventscalendar_1.2.2.zip.

  • Component vs module?

    • Component stores events and full pages. Module shows a block in a template position.

  • What is Dashboard?

    • A three-panel layout: month rail, month grid, and event cards.

  • Do images resize automatically?

    • Yes for list, cards, timeline, dashboard, and similar events. Heroes stay full size.

  • Which Joomla versions?

    • Joomla 4.4+, 5, and 6 with PHP 8.1+.

  • OpenStreetMap or Google Maps?

    • OpenStreetMap is the default and needs no key. Choose Google Maps in Configuration (or per menu/module) and add a Maps JavaScript API key.

  • Smart Search finds nothing?

    • Enable Finder - Easy Events Calendar, then rebuild the Smart Search index. See the Troubleshooting tab.

  • Front end looks unchanged?

    • Save, clear Joomla cache, then hard-refresh (Ctrl+F5). See the Troubleshooting tab.
