Installation

Follow these steps carefully. The store sends an outer zip. Joomla needs the inner zip.

Step 1: Download

Download EasyEventsCalendar_UNZIP.zip from your purchase email or the Downloads section.

Step 2: Unzip on your computer

1. Right-click EasyEventsCalendar_UNZIP.zip.
2. Choose Extract All (Windows) or Unzip (Mac).
3. Open the new folder. You should see:
   • pkg_easyeventscalendar_1.2.2.zip (this is the install file)
   • ReadMe.txt (short reminder)

Important: Do not upload EasyEventsCalendar_UNZIP.zip to Joomla. Only install pkg_easyeventscalendar_1.2.2.zip.

Step 3: Install in Joomla

1. Log in to the Joomla administrator.
2. Go to System > Install > Extensions.
3. Click Upload Package File.
4. Choose pkg_easyeventscalendar_1.2.2.zip.
5. Wait for the green success message.
6. Check the left menu for Components > Easy Events Calendar.
7. Clear cache: System > Maintenance > Clear Cache.

Updates later

Install a newer pkg_easyeventscalendar_*.zip the same way. Your events and settings stay.
