Installation

Install one package zip from the Joomla administrator.

Step 1: Download

After purchase, download PhotoSlider_UNZIP.zip from your email or the Downloads section.

Step 2: Unzip on your computer
  1. Extract PhotoSlider_UNZIP.zip.
  2. Inside you should see:
    • pkg_revealingphotoslider_2.0.0.zip (install this one)
    • ReadMe.txt
Step 3: Install in Joomla
  1. Log in to the Joomla administrator.
  2. Go to System > Install > Extensions.
  3. Click Upload Package File.
  4. Choose pkg_revealingphotoslider_2.0.0.zip and wait for the success message.
  5. Clear Joomla cache: System > Maintenance > Clear Cache.
What the package installs
  • mod_revealing_photo_slider: the site module
  • Media assets under media/mod_revealing_photo_slider/ (CSS, JS, Web Asset Manager entry)
Updates

Install a newer pkg_revealingphotoslider zip the same way. The package uses method="upgrade", so your module settings stay safe.

Upgrading from the old Revealing Photo Slider

The new module has a new name and settings. Install the package, create a new Revealing Photo Slider module, add your images, then unpublish or uninstall the old module.
