Which Joomla versions are supported?
Fade Container 2.0 supports Joomla 4, Joomla 5, and Joomla 6.
PHP 8.1 or newer is recommended.
Does Fade Container 2.0 require jQuery?
No. Version 2.0 uses vanilla JavaScript and Joomla’s Web Asset Manager.
jQuery, bxSlider, and Fancybox are no longer bundled.
Which layouts are available?
Three layouts ship in 2.0: Stacked Fade, Split Magazine, and Spotlight Overlay.
Stacked works well in narrower positions; Split is ideal for case studies; Spotlight suits hero-style highlights.
Which themes can I choose?
Five themes are built in: Editorial, Modern, Card, Minimal, and Dark.
You can also set an accent colour and corner radius per module instance.
Can visitors preview an article without leaving the page?
Yes. Set Open Behaviour to Quick-view modal.
The module opens a native dialog with the article content and a link to the full page. Choose Open article page for direct navigation instead.
How do I style the module to match my brand?
Choose a theme, set the accent colour and corner radius, then optionally add Theme CSS Override scoped to #jx-fc-{moduleId}.
Additional CSS can also be added under Advanced settings.
Can I show only featured articles?
Yes. Under Content Settings set Featured Articles to Only.
You can also filter by tags and exclude the article currently being viewed.
Does autoplay pause when I hover?
Yes by default. Enable Autoplay and leave Pause on Hover on.
Autoplay also pauses while a quick-view dialog is open and when the browser tab is hidden.
Is Fade Container accessible and mobile-friendly?
Yes. Controls include labelled prev/next buttons, pager dots, keyboard arrows, and dialog close.
Layouts adapt on smaller screens and respect prefers-reduced-motion.
