Features
What can Mailerlite Newsletter do for you?
Eleven feature areas, one install package for Joomla 4, 5 and 6.
Secure
Your API Token Stays Private
- Your MailerLite token is stored safely in the module settings. It never appears in your pages or scripts.
Targeting
Send Subscribers to the Right Groups
- Choose the MailerLite group each new subscriber joins. Add several groups to place one subscriber on multiple lists at once.
Fewer Headaches
Paste Your Token and It Just Works
- Stray spaces and extra characters in pasted tokens are cleaned automatically. You get a clear warning if a token looks incomplete.
Your Words
Write the Form Copy Your Way
- Set the title and intro to match your brand voice and compliance wording. Change placeholders and the button label without code.
Flexible Layout
Fits Footers and Sidebars
- Line fields up in a row for footers and full-width bands. Or stack them for sidebars and narrow columns.
Match Your Theme
Restyle in Seconds
- Change colors and sizes from the settings. No CSS files to edit.
Polished Button
Add a Button Icon
- Add an arrow, envelope or paper plane icon to the button. Or keep it text-only.
Smooth Signup
Sign Up Without Leaving the Page
- Name and email are checked before sending, with focus on the first problem. Submissions are double-checked on the server.
Accessible
Forms Everyone Can Use
- Screen readers announce every field correctly. Success and error messages are read aloud after submit.
Multilingual
Ready for Multilingual Campaigns
- Create a version per language with translated headings and intros. Built on the modern module structure with easy updates.
Changelog
What's new
3 releases since version 1.0.0. Updates install from the Joomla admin with a valid licence.
- Download Key support on the update site (dlid).
- Runs on Joomla 5 and 6 with the Behaviour Backward Compatibility plugins disabled
- Module service provider and Web Asset Manager for front-end assets
- Joomla 4, 5 & 6 — Site module for current Joomla releases.
- MailerLite integration — Subscribes visitors via MailerLite’s REST API (connect.mailerlite.com), with server-side handling through Joomla's built-in AJAX handler so the API token is not exposed to the browser.
- Form & copy — Editable heading, intro, placeholders, button text, success and error messages.
- Layout & appearance — Horizontal or vertical layout; extensive colour, typography, input, and button options; optional inline SVG button icons.
- Setup instructions tab — In-admin notes with links to MailerLite dashboard and developer documentation for API token and group ID.
- Language files — en-GB pack with translatable MOD_MAILERLITE_NEWSLETTER_* strings for admin and visitor messages.
- Scoped CSS — jx--prefixed classes and CSS variables to reduce theme clashes.
