Which Joomla versions does Diapo Slideshow support?

Diapo Slideshow 3.5 supports Joomla 4.4 or later, Joomla 5, and Joomla 6. PHP 8.1 or later is required.

What does Diapo Slideshow do?

It is a site module that publishes one image slideshow per instance. You add images, pick Overlay, Split, or Stacked, then publish it in a module position.

What file do I download from the store?

Download DiapoSlideShow_UNZIP.zip from the store. Unzip it, then install pkg_diaposlideshow_3.5.0.zip from System > Install > Extensions.

Do I need a component or plugin?

No. Diapo Slideshow is a site module only. There is no component database and no sitewide plugin.

Where do the slides come from?

Choose Manual slides (Media Manager rows), Image folder (files under images/), or Joomla articles (intro image, title, and introtext from selected categories). Articles without an intro image are skipped.

How is this different from Coda Slider?

Coda Slider shows tabbed article or HTML panels. Diapo Slideshow is an image-first slideshow with overlay, split, and stacked layouts.

Does it require jQuery?

No. Version 3.5 uses the native Diapo 2.0.0 engine. There is no jQuery and no second slider library.

Can I place more than one slideshow on a page?

Yes. Each module instance is its own slideshow. Menu assignment, position, and chrome stay native Joomla module settings.
