Which Joomla versions does Easy YouTube Feed support?

Easy YouTube Feed supports Joomla 4, 5, and 6. PHP 8.1 or later is required. A YouTube Data API v3 key is required.

What does Easy YouTube Feed do?

It is a site module that shows videos from a YouTube channel or playlist. Visitors browse a responsive grid (or slider, list, featured, or Shorts layout), search and sort, switch feed tabs, and load more pages. Videos can open in a lightbox or on YouTube.

Do I need a YouTube API key?

Yes. Create a Google Cloud API key with YouTube Data API v3 enabled. Restrict it to your server IP address, not HTTP referrers. Paste it into the module options. The key is used only in PHP on the server.

Can I use a playlist instead of a channel?

Yes. Paste a playlist ID or a YouTube URL that contains list=. When a playlist ID is set, the module uses that source instead of the channel uploads list.

What are feed tabs?

When enabled on a channel feed, visitors can switch between Latest Videos, Popular, and Playlists without reloading the page. Requires a channel source, not playlist-only mode.

What pagination modes are available?

Off, load more button, previous and next pages, or infinite scroll. Load more and infinite scroll use YouTube page tokens via Ajax so cards are not duplicated.

Can I show a channel profile card?

Yes. Enable Visit channel and choose profile card or button style. Place it above, below, left, or right of the feed. Data is pulled from YouTube (avatar, name, stats, short description).

How is this different from Youtube VideoList Gallery?

VideoList Gallery is a curated watch gallery where you paste individual video URLs. Easy YouTube Feed is a live channel or playlist feed powered by the YouTube Data API.

What file do I download from the store?

Download EasyYoutubeFeed_UNZIP.zip. Unzip it, then install the install package (the .zip inside your download) from System > Install > Extensions.
