Joomla 4.4 or newer, Joomla 5, and Joomla 6. You need PHP 8.1 or later.
Download EasyCalendar_UNZIP.zip. Unzip it on your computer. Inside you will find pkg_easycalendar_1.0.0.zip. That inner zip is what you install in Joomla.
The UNZIP wrapper holds the real install file plus a short readme. Joomla Installer needs the pkg_easycalendar_1.0.0.zip file, not the outer UNZIP archive.
It installs three parts: the Easy Events Calendar component (com_easycalendar), the site module (mod_easycalendar), and the Smart Search Finder plugin (plg_finder_easycalendar). Store badges list Component, Module, and Plugin.
The component is where you create events, categories, locations, and full calendar menu pages. The module is a smaller block you place in a template position, such as upcoming events on the home page.
Unzip EasyCalendar_UNZIP.zip. In Joomla go to System > Install > Extensions. Upload pkg_easycalendar_1.0.0.zip. Then open Components > Easy Events Calendar to confirm it loads.
Open Components > Easy Events Calendar > Events > New. Add a title, start date and time, and optionally an end time, category, location, image, and description. Set Status to Published and save.
Dashboard shows three panels: a month rail, a month grid, and event cards. Choose the dark Dashboard skin or Dashboard light. You can also place the module in Dashboard mode.
No. Cards, Timeline, Dashboard, Similar events, and Upcoming lists use cached resized copies. Set thumbnail and card sizes in Components > Easy Events Calendar > Configuration. Event heroes stay full size.
Yes. On the menu item Display options, choose to open events as a popup or as a full page. Full page is a good default for news-style sites.
Modes include Upcoming, Cards, Timeline, Mini month, Featured, and Dashboard. You can limit count, filter by category, show or hide fields, add Load More, and link to a full calendar menu page.
No. There is no cart, seats, or payment system. If tickets are sold elsewhere, use the external URL field to link to the organiser page.
On the event form choose daily, weekly, or monthly recurrence, set an interval, and optionally an until date. Easy Events Calendar creates published copies for the series.
Yes. Use CSV import and export on Components > Easy Events Calendar > Events. Title and start datetime are required when importing.
