Read-only demo accounts

List usernames in Configuration > General > Read-only demo usernames (default: demo).

Behaviour

• Can browse portal and administrator lists and forms
• Save, Apply, reply, delete, and configuration changes are blocked with a clear notice
• Does not check out records when opening forms, so real staff are not locked out
• Configuration screen is viewable in read-only mode with the same save block

Try-before-buy setup

1. Create a Joomla user named demo (or another listed username).
2. Grant Manage or Agent access so menus appear.
3. Add the username to the read-only list if not using default demo.
4. Optionally install sample data for a populated tour.
